Whilst attending the 2019 American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Annual Meeting in San Diego from May 3-7, Dr Isabel McLean has squeezed in a small marathon! The walk was the seventh annual ASCRS Foundation Run for Sight sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Vision. From 342 participants (raising over $13,900 for the ASCRS Foundation), Dr McLean came 1st in her age group! 🙂 . All funds raised for the ASCRS Foundation, go to the Foundation’s ongoing humanitarian programs in Ethiopia and the United States.
Hawaiian Eye 2019
Dr Isabel McLean recently attended the 2019 Hawaiian Eye conference held at the Hilton Waikoloa Village in Hawaii, USA, where she joined 1,500 comprehensive ophthalmologists, retina specialists, administrators, nurses and allied health professionals for the best educational experience in ophthalmology.
Dr McLean regularly attends conferences such as this to ensure she is constantly updating her skills and knowledge in line with national and international advancements in technology and techniques.
